Welcome! I am Heather and I work with young children in Shreveport, Louisiana. I am currently workingwith older infants/young toddlers. Regardless to popular beleif we do much more than just baby sit all day!We help the children develop their social, emotional and physical skills. Right now we are working on helping the children recognize theparts of their faces(nose, eyes, mouth,etc.)They are learning to follow directions and play with each other.We are also helping the younger ones with walking and drinking out of sippy cups.The children are also learning to feed themselves. Although most of the time we end up cleaning the food off the floor!As you can tell I really enjoy my work!

Infant/Crawlers Activities

Since the summer is definitely here we have been trying to come up with some activites to help the children cool down. One that the children absolutley love is washing the baby dolls!We took several small dishpans and put a plastic doll and a wet cloth in the pan, no extra water. We then sat the children at the table(we have those COOL tables that have seats in them) and let them wash "baby".Several of the children wanted to do this actvity all day!

Do I do anything but work?
|
Well, I am finally moving back out of my wonderful parents home. Now, all my friends(one in particular) can come and see all my lovely cows! Yes, I collect cows!
